With all of his success though, Charlie has had a string of legal problems stemming primarily from drug abuse. In 2010, he was arrested for damaging a hotel room; apparently Charlie had taken cocaine and gotten into a disagreement with adult star Capri Anderson regarding the cost of her services for the night. His time and success as the lead singer of Black Sabbath and then as a solo artist has even garnered him the title “Godfather of Heavy Metal.” While he was on tour in Texas in 1982, Ozzy was arrested for public urination and intoxication. During his drunken venture around San Antonio, Ozzy ended up urinating on a statue at the Alamo, which is a source of immense pride among native Texans. He was released on 40$ bail, and suffered a ten year ban from the city of San Antonio until he made amends by making a sizable donation to the Daughters of the Republic of Texas who maintain the Alamo site. 11. Paul Reubens

Paul Reubens is an actor and comedian who is best known for creating and portraying the fictional satirical character Pee-wee Herman . Reubens was able to take this character and land his own HBO special, a morning children’s show, and two feature films. Things were going good for Reubens, until an arrest caused his show to be cancelled, and forced him to withdraw himself from the public eye for years. He was arrested in Florida in 1991 for indecent exposure in an adult movie theater. During the arrest, he tried to get the officer to let the incident slide by offering to perform as Pee-wee Herman at the children’s benefit for the sheriff’s office. The charges went through though, and Reubens pled no contest, resulting in him serving 75 hours of community service and having to appear in a public service announcement. 10. George Michae l

George Michael is a Grammy award winning English singer and songwriter who rose to fame primarily because of his post-disco dance pop style of music during the 1980s and 1990s. Michael has sold more than 80 million records worldwide; but even that much success does not keep someone from getting into trouble with the law. In 1998, he was arrested for “engaging in a lewd act” by an undercover police officer during a sting operation in a public park bathroom in Beverly Hills. Michael himself admitted that the undercover cop followed him into the bathroom, and while the two were in there, Michael believed they were playing a game called “I’ll show you mine, you show me yours” He pled no contest and had to serve 80 hours of community service and pay an 810$ fine. 9. Eddie Murphy Fans will remember Eddie Murphy for his stand-up, his time on Saturday Night Live , and his performances in The Nutty Professor , Dr. Dolittle , and as Donkey in the Shrek franchise. In 1997 though, Murphy was stopped by a police officer while he had a transsexual prostitute in his car. Murphy said that he was simply being “a good Samaritan” by giving the prostitute a ride; and that seemed to work because Murphy was allowed to go about his day, while the prostitute was arrested. This incident’s inclusion on the list may not have actually resulted in the celebrity’s arrest, but since there was an arrest made, and it was incredibly embarrassing for Murphy, it rightfully deserved to be acknowledged. 8. Gary Coleman

Gary Coleman was an actor and comedian who will forever be remembered for his portrayal of Arnold Jackson , the little troublemaker on the hit sitcom Diff’rent Strokes . The young child star whose catchphrase “Whatchoo talkin’ ’bout Willis?” was a mainstay during the late 1970s through the 80s, had a promising career going for himself, but financial and legal problems greatly hindered what could have been. One such legal issue occurred at a bowling alley in Utah in 2008 where Coleman was arrested for disorderly conduct and reckless driving. Witnesses said that a man had taken a picture of Coleman without his permission, sparking an argument between the two. Coleman would then back into the man with his truck in the parking lot, pulling him underneath it and hitting another parked car. He pleaded no contest, paid a 100$ fine, and settled the civil suit by paying an undisclosed amount of money. 7. Andy Dick

Andy Dick is an actor who has appeared on multiple television shows, but he is mostly known for being an unconventional comedian who often utilizes controversial behavior in his stand-up performances. Dick has been arrested several times, but his most bizarre arrest came in January of 2010 where he was charged in West Virginia with two counts of sexual abuse after groping a male bartender and another male patron. Dick pled not guilty, paid a 60,000$ bail, and eventually, after multiple delays and good behavior, had all the charges dismissed. The case was not fully closed however, as both victims still sued Dick for unspecified damages. 6. Shia Labeouf

People will always associate Shia Labeouf with his role on Even Stevens as well as his main role in the Transformers movie series. Shia though, has had many run ins with the law, with possibly the most bizarre of these run ins occurring in 2007. Labeouf was arrested for criminal trespassing after refusing to leave a Chicago Walgreens. Shia himself admitted that he was only at Walgreens to buy a pack of cigarettes (which he never got to buy) and that he was drunk during his visit. Luckily for Shia though, the criminal charges in this instance were dropped, and he has since gone on to caution people about the “dangers of drinking and shopping.” 5. Foxy Brown

Inga DeCarlo Fung Marchand, better known as Foxy Brown , is a rapper who has released several solo records as well as some collaborative works. Not only does Foxy have a healthy of actual rap music, but she also has quite the rap sheet with the authorities. In 2007, she was arrested in Florida for assault; what makes this interesting is the fact that the assault occurred after she locked herself in the bathroom of a Queens Beauty Supply store to try on makeup. When she refused to leave the bathroom when the store was closing, she came out and threw a hair glue gun at one employee and spat on another. She ended up pleading guilty on the assault charges, and was sentenced to six months probation, 15 hours of community service, and anger management courses; she had to produce a letter of apology to the assaulted employees. 4. Boy George

Like George Michael , Boy George is an English singer and songwriter who had a great deal of success during the 1980s. He was the lead singer of the pop band Culture Club , and was known for having a soulful voice while sporting an androgynous appearance; unfortunately, he has had his share of legal troubles. His most bizarre legal issue came in 2008 when he was arrested for the false imprisonment of a male Norwegian prostitute. Boy George had apparently handcuffed the man to a wall, struck him with a chain and threatened his life; but in his defense, George said that he never planned to actually kill the man. He was sentenced to serve fifteen months in prison, but was released after four months for good behavior. 3. Charles Barkley

Charles Barkley is a former pro-basketball player who spent his thirteen year career playing in Philadelphia, Phoenix, and Houston; he can now be seen covering basketball as an analyst for TNT. In 2008 he was arrested for driving under the influence; he was stopped by police after they caught him running a stop sign with a female passenger in his car. His blood alcohol level was double the legal limit at the time of the arrest, but what makes this case really bizarre is the fact that in the police report, he admitted that the reason he had blown the stop sign in the first place was because he was in a hurry to go and receive oral sex from his female passenger. Barkley pled guilty to the DUI charge, paid a 2000$ fine, and spent three days in jail. 2. Matthew McConaughey

Ever since his breakout role in Dazed and Confused, Matthew Mcconaughey has been a big name actor; he may have starred in some awful romantic-comedies, but with his role on HBO ’s True Detective and his Oscar award winning performance in the movie Dallas Buyers Club he proved to be a highly skilled actor. In 1999 though, he was arrested in his Texas home for being in possession of drug paraphernalia. What makes this arrest bizarre, is not the fact that he got busted for having visible marijuana at the scene, it is the fact that the police were responding to a noise complaint filed by one of Mcconaughey’s neighbors. The noise as it turned out, came from Mcconaughey himself who was playing his bongo drums; when the police arrived, they found him still playing those bongos, except he was completely nude and dancing as well. He ended up paying a 50$ fine for the noise, while all other charges were dropped. 1. Eddie Furlong

Eddie Furlong will forever be known for playing the teenage version of John Connor in Terminator 2: Judgement Day . Since then, Furlong has not had that exciting of a career, thanks primarily to drug addiction, alcoholism, and legal problems. His most bizarre legal issue occurred in 2004 when he was arrested for public intoxication. The incident involved Furlong visiting a local Kentucky supermarket while drunk, where he proceeded to remove several lobsters from their tanks in order to “liberate” them. When police arrived at the scene, Furlong smelled of alcohol, and began running around in circles when an officer tried frisking him. He attempted to use his PETA membership as justification for his actions that day, but it is quite obvious that that was most likely a lie.
