Meghan Markle will have to undergo rigorous training in a ‘Princess Bootcamp’ to ensure that she fully knows how to behave like a royal. It’s the same training that Kate Middleton underwent before her marriage to Prince William. Talk about pressure. These women not only had to plan a wedding that would be one of the biggest events of the year for them and the entire world, but they must also undergo an overhaul to ensure that they learn how to act like a royal. And, there are a lot of rules that the Royal Family must follow. Who knew that British royalty even has rules for their chin? Apparently, Kate Middleton’s chin must be parallel to the ground at all times. She doesn’t look down, she bends her back down to ensure that her chin is parallel. It’s considered good posture.

There are entire books dedicated to the proper etiquette rules royals must follow. There are rules for small talk. There are rules for how and what you can eat. There are rules for how you stand, sit down, and greet other people. There are even rules that govern how you are supposed to travel. Sounds tiring being a royal doesn’t it? Yet, we’re not going to cover all of the rules. We’re just going to cover the most bizarre and strangest rules that the Royal Family must follow. For instance, Meghan Markle has already broken several including greeting fans carrying a handbag instead of a clutch. Gasp! See if you can guess what other rules the royal family must follow.
15 No One Can Eat After The Queen Has Finished
Sit down for a meal with the queen and you might feel the need to rush to through your meal. Once the queen is finished, everyone is finished. Forget that last tasty mouthful, her appetite dictates how much food everyone else get’s to eat. Once the Queen puts her fork down, everyone is expected to stop eating.
Rumor has it that last year the queen became upset with a prince in the South Pacific when he forgot to watch the queen and ate a grape after she had finished eating. He was even going to take a sip of a fruit soup when it hit him about the mistake that he had made. Although, being raised as the well-mannered peacekeeper that he is, the Queen raised a bowl of the soup to her lips to avoid having the young prince feel awkward.
14 No PDA!
As Royals, the couple is expected to appear stoic in public. Sure, there have been the passionate hugs at sporting matches. Although, we wonder if they’re later chastised by the queen. Displays of affection must be kept to themselves out of the public eye. This rule is a must, especially when the couple is travelling to other countries as they are a representation of the British Monarchy. They play a role when they are in public and it does not include PDA.
