6 Rick Ross Lying About His Work History
Generally most people would not be ashamed to have ever worked in the law enforcement industry, and most people certainly wouldn’t be concerned about that kind of work degrading their credibility in their current profession, but most people are not William Roberts II, a.k.a. rapper Rick Ross. Unsurprisingly, most rappers wouldn’t consider working as a correctional officer before their musical success to be a shining entry on their resume, which is presumably why Ross denied that photos that had surfaced publicly of him in a CO’s uniform were actually photos of him.
But after years of rumors and some insanely diligent research on the part of the website The Smoking Gun, Ross was finally forced to confess that he had in fact worked as a corrections officer in Florida from 1995 to 1997. And while his efforts to hide it certainly made it seem like this was something that Ross specifically wanted to hide, once it all came out the rapper said that it’s not a job he regrets taking or one that he thinks affects his credibility today. Eventually he even went on to pen some songs about his history as a CO and what that particular job taught him about a real work grind.
7 Taylor Swift Lying About Kanye
Taylor Swift’s feud with Kanye West doesn’t really have an end in sight, and it seems like Taylor took things to another level when she decided to claim that she had no knowledge that Kanye was going to reference her in his song “Famous.” Taylor then said that he had only asked her to promote the song, and hadn’t run the lyrics by her before actually going forward with the shout out. Of course Taylor’s crew then backed her up, and Kanye’s squad didn’t back down from their claims that she knew what was coming either.
After Kanye’s wife Kim Kardashian West went to bat for him in some interviews she decided to go for the nuclear option, and she posted a video of Kanye and Taylor talking on the phone and Taylor apparently giving Kanye the go ahead with the song. Then the whole debacle seemed to serve as inspiration for Taylor’s next album, Reputation. And while Taylor was definitely in the wrong for lying about it, if she felt uncomfortable with the end result of the product she could have just said that (and to be fair, the song as well as the video were pretty creepy and gross).
8 Miley And Liam Lying About Their Relationship Status
Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have been an on-and-off couple ever since they first met while filming their movie The Last Song, but lately it seems like they’re pretty consistently on and it looks like they might really make it for the long haul this time. Their relationship seems to have occupied every Facebook status under the sun throughout their almost decade-long relationship, but the pair has not yet made it down the aisle, despite being engaged twice. But the fact that they never made it legally, or even Facebook, official hasn’t stopped either star from referring to each other as their eternally pledged spouse.
Aside from Liam calling Miley his wife and Miley calling Liam her husband at public appearances before, there have been multiple wedding fake-outs throughout their relationship. In 2013 Miley actually said that she had married Liam in secret. However, that was later revealed to be false. Once again rumors of a secret wedding in Australia were swirling in 2017, and it was widely reported that the pair had finally tied the knot. But again, turns out it was a false alarm, with Chris Hemsworth stating that the couple was “not officially married” in an interview later.
