10. Or Conquering Deals, Brand By Brand
There doesn’t seem to be a brand these days that doesn’t have one of the Kardashians as the accompanying face. While model Kendall struts the runway for top designers like Chanel and Givenchy, she’s also the face of some of the biggest companies on the planet- Adidas, Calvin Klein, La Perla, and her reported $1 million deal with beauty giant, Estee Lauder. It’s said Kylie’s contract with sports brand Puma is worth a whopping $1 million, and that’s not the first time the family have endorsed sports shoes. In 2010, Kim and mom, Kris were the face of Sketchers Shape-ups. While Kourtney keeps Manuka Doctor skincare brand going, Kylie’s been the face of Nip+Fab’s moisturizers and Lilly Lashes. Steering expectant moms towards morning sickness tablets, Diclegis, Kim’s even conquered the medical market. Seriously, what’s next?
9. They Are Also Juggling Their Own Brands
If there’s money to be made, the Kardashians are on it. They started many years ago with their DASH clothing lines, but it’s in recent years we’ve really seen their brands explode. The 2015 launch of Kylie Cosmetics was an instant success, and her range of palettes and lip kits have earned a reported $420 million in sales. Collaborating with sister, Kendall, the Kendall+Kylie clothing line and app brought in millions, as did the staggering $71.8 million Kim Kardashian: Hollywood mobile game in 2016, where it’s reported Kim’s cut was 40%. Her KKW Beauty line consistently sells out, she’s partnered up with husband, Kanye for a kids’ line, and since following a Kardashian is an honor, yup, you have to pay $2.99 a month to read their locked website or app posts. Khloe’s also doing well with her Good American line, and the concept was clever, making sure sizes catered from tiny to plus. Rob’s socks might not be up there, but that’s not bad for one family.
8. They Dominate Our TV Screens, Phones, And Bookshelves
> If you thought they were just tied to their main show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, think again. They are doing everything they can to be part of every single form of media possible. Endless spin-offs, including Kim And Kourtney Take Miami (and New York and um, the Hamptons), there’s also The Life Of Kylie, and Rob & Chyna. In 2015, Kim released an entire book of selfies (aptly named, Selfish), while Khloe leaned on her new-found love for fitness with book, Strong Looks Better Nak*d. Add on their hundreds of millions of social media followers, interviews, and event appearances, there’s no escaping them. And remember, these women don’t do anything without getting paid. We can’t fault them for their hustle, as they clearly know their worth and won’t settle for anything less than what they think they deserve.
