Kim Jong Un, the North Korean dictator, became emotional in front of a large assembly of women, urging them to boost the country’s declining birth rate.
During Pyongyang’s National Mothers’ Meeting, Kim was seen wiping tears with a handkerchief as he addressed the thousands of women.
He emphasized the responsibility of mothers in reversing the decreasing birth rate and promoting the values of his communist party to their children.
The event, the first of its kind in 11 years, aimed to address concerns about North Korea’s declining birth rate.
Kim referred to various social tasks, urging mothers to play a vital role in upholding communist ideals, promoting family unity, and halting the declining birth rate by nurturing and educating children effectively.
Kim called on the mothers to unite in handling these shared responsibilities, emphasizing the importance of collective efforts in addressing these societal challenges.
